Earthquakes/Landscape

Dry Landside

Both landslides and earthquakes can do a lot of damage to property. Landslides are common in Wyoming and earthquakes less so. Landslides can occur near or on steep slopes or along streams and are the result of heavy rainfall, rapid snowmelt, earthquakes, erosion or grading that removes stabilizing material from the base of a slope.
