The Wyoming Native Plant Society was established in 1981 for the purpose of encouraging appreciation and knowledge of the native flora of Wyoming. Towards this end, the Society has promoted research on native plants and habitats in Wyoming through its annual scholarship program. One to three scholarships in the amounts of $300-500 are awarded each year to undergraduate, or graduate students conducting research in Wyoming. Projects may address any aspect of botany, including taxonomy, floristics, ecology, plant geography, range science, physiology, or mycology.
