Animal Species of Concern

Birds     Mammals     Herps     Fishes     Invertebrates

Printable List with Additional Details - Updated 2003  - PDF 134 KB

WYNDD maintains a ranked list of animals it classifies as "of concern" in Wyoming. For more information on particular animal taxa of concern, click the links contained within the PDF.

In addition, there is also a separate list of animal species that are of potential concern; this has also been called the "watch list". Species on the potential list have limited distribution as regional or state endemics, and appear to be secure at present; however, they could become vulnerable under large-scale changes. Their status warrants periodic checks.

Also, check out the Wyoming Bat Call Library, a central distribution site for the exchange of credible reference calls recorded in Wyoming.
