Advanced Performance 4th grade students at the advanced performance level: (1) define what fitness is by
identifying all of the health related components and a variety of activities that relate to the components; (2) define all of the principles of fitness as
identified in Benchmark Two and many health benefits of being physically active; and (3) regularly participate in physical activity that adheres to the recommended
guidelines for health enhancing fitness. Proficient Performance 4th grade students at the proficient performance level: (1) define what fitness is by
identifying most of the health related components and some activities that relate to the components; (2) define most of the principles of fitness as identified in the
benchmark and some health benefits of being physically active; and (3) frequently participate in physical activity that adheres to the recommended guidelines for health
enhancing fitness. Partially Proficient Performance 4th grade students at the partially proficient performance level: (1) define what fitness is
by identifying a few of the health-related components and a few activities that relate to the components; (2) define some of the principles of fitness as identified in
the benchmark and a few of the health benefits of being physically active; and (3) infrequently participate in physical activity that adheres to the recommended
guidelines for health-enhancing fitness. |
