What does a writing project do? - Top
The Wyoming Writing Project's mission is to improve the quality of writing and writing instruction through all grade levels (K-16) and across all curricula in the state of Wyoming. Additionally, as an adjunct of the National Writing Project, the WWP offers Wyoming's teachers and administrators a range of professional development opportunities. For more information in this area, click the links to the ISI and the NWP, or contact us at wwp@uwyo.edu.
Who makes up the Wyoming Writing Project? - Top
The WWP is open to all teachers and administrators in the state, K-16. Becoming a "Teacher Consultant" requires participation in an Invitational Summer Institute (ISI). Under federal law, every writing project site must have a director who is affiliated with an accredited university. At present the WWP also has a Fiscal Officer and an Advisory Board (see directory).

The NWP has a long history, going back to the days of the Bay Area Writing Project. The fullest answer to this question can be found at the NWP website.
