WYOMING PUBLIC RADIO
has now converted all of our transmitters from analog to digital. This new technology promises better quality sound.
Listeners with HD radios will now automatically be tuned to the
digital signal. An “HD” icon on the radio’s display will confirm
that the digital signal has been acquired.
Listeners with analog radios will continue to receive the WYOMING PUBLIC RADIO as they always have. This transition to digital HD Radio will not affect your ability to listen with the analog radios you now have at home and in your vehicle.
Listeners with an HD Radio tuner will be able to enjoy the benefits of digital quality sound, improved signal reception and greater programming choices. The HD Radio platform allows WYOMING PUBLIC RADIO to expand our level of service with a complete new venue for classical music, international news, arts and culture programming!
Radiosophy is offering the HD100.1 radio with a set of Sony® MDR-V150 DJ headphones for a promotional price of $49.95 when purchased with the HD100.1 radio. This offer ends September 29th. Click Here to see offer details.
The Classical Channel HD From Wyoming Public Radio is On the Air!!!Listeners in the KUWJ, KUWC signal area around Jackson, and Casper now have access to the Classical Channel HD from WYOMING PUBLIC RADIO! The digital HD technology uses the current radio spectrum more efficiently to transmit with new, higher-quality digital signals which can also carry distinct programming like the second all-classical channel we hope to unveil statewide early next year.
