ANSC 1010

The departments of Animal Science and Veterinary Sciences at the University of Wyoming combined their efforts to offer a Pre-Veterinary Medicine Option in Animal and Veterinary Sciences.  The purpose of the option is to prepare students to apply successfully to colleges of veterinary medicine.  ANSC 1010 is a required piece of that curriculum.

In this 4-credit course overseen by Dr. Paul Ludden, students are introduced to management practices of common farm animals. It is designed to give student a broad understanding of the domestic livestock industry and the challenges and opportunities associated with it. Academic and professional specialists teach sections of the course pertaining to their individual area of expertise. Hands-on and group activities are emphasized in the laboratory section.

Audience: Pre-Vet, Animal Science and Animal & Veterinary Sciences majors
