To the Editor;

After receipt of the premiere edition and reading President Dubois' description of UWyo's purpose on page one, I was troubled by the four pages devoted to an incident "Reflections on a Tragedy" which certainly did nothing to "look at new plans and programs; introduce new members of the UW family; explore cuttingedge teaching and research; go behind the scenes of cultural and athletic events; and catch up with UW alumni who are making a real difference." Had not this senseless tragedy been covered ad nauseam by the sensational media? What was the purpose of this article? Disappointed,

To the Editor;

Thank you for including the feature on reactions to the beating and death of Matthew Shepard in the new magazine. As a graduate who lives 2,000 miles away from Laramie, I had wondered how those of you who are there were feeling, thinking, and coping. I no longer feel so lonely in my sadness for Matthew's family and friends and anger at how Laramie was presented in the media reports at the time.

To the Editor;

The quality of the UWyo magazine mandates membership in the Alumni Association! Excellent. First-class publication.

To the Editor;

I was writing to comment on the UWyo magazine. I thought it was excellent and was very impressed. You guys should be very proud of yourself. It was a great step up from that old newspaper style you used to have. Keep up the good work. It is always good to hear about old WYO. Sincerely,
