Materials Scientist to Speak Thursday in Distinguished Speaker Series |

March 21, 2006 -- Internationally-recognized materials scientist James Gubernatis will speak Thursday, March 23, at 2 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Family Room.
A member of the Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics Group of the Los Alamos National Laboratory's Theoretical Division, Gubernatis will discuss "Bits, Bytes and Tidbits: Some perspectives on the growth of the computational sciences," as part of the UW Graduate School's Distinguished Speaker Series.
Gubernatis is the co-author of more than 150 publications and several review articles. He now serves as the U.S. representative and secretary for the Commission on Computational Physics of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics.
