CHARACTERIZING MASS AND ENERGY TRANSPORT AT DIFFERENT SCALES

(WYO-412-06)

Water flow and contaminant transport in the sub-surface can be difficult to predict because of the spatial heterogeneity in soils and the temporal variability in water management and climate. State-of-the-art sensors and mathematical models are used to study flow and transport in natural ecosystems and in agriculture.
