The intent of our current application is to advance our current understanding of how dietary lipids affect mammary tissue lipid metabolism in the beef cow. We intend to learn how modification of adipose tissue fatty acid composition in the beef calf via consumption of the dam's milk with altered fatty acid composition affects fatty acid metabolism in the adipose tissue of the calf.
