Ecological Relations and Management of Selected Rangeland Plants - WYO-365-02

Rangelands are frequently occupied by plant communities or noxious species that limit the value of the area for livestock or wildlife use. Prediction functions of annual forage yields from antecedent precipitation will be developed. Economic threshold abundances of sagebrush justifying control will be determined from longterm data. Comparisons of forage yield and animal use responses following various levels of thinning sagebrush stands will be made.
