OBJECTIVE MEASURES OF WOOL FIBER CHARACTERISTICS

Current methods used
to evaluate physical characteristics of greasy wool, such as vegetable
matter and ash content, are time consuming, expensive, and utilize chemicals
that are potential hazards to health. This project will evaluate new kinds
of equipment that could be used to measure and report physical properties of
greasy wool and other animal fibers.
