Rural communities in the West are experiencing an unprecedented rate of growth and development pressure, forcing communities to make difficult trade-offs between the amenities provided by rural landscapes and residential development. Our research is intended to provide relevant information for preservation decisions, while also improving economic viability for agricultural landowners and rural communities.
