Montgomery Technology Computer Lab

University Disability Support Services, thanks to the support from the Montgomery Trust Fund, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Associated Students of the University of Wyoming and student fees, provides assistive technology (AT) through the Montgomery Technology Center (MTC). Located in Room 7 in the basement of Knight Hall, the MTC is the computer component of UDSS. The Center provides access to computers and the UW network by using various forms of AT. AT can assist students in a variety of ways.

The resources available in the MTC serve to accomplish its goals of access, education, training, and support for UW students, faculty, and staff who have an interest in AT for persons with disabilities. Some AT can also be found in computer labs around the UW campus.

Getting Started in the MTC

The University Disabilities Support Services (UDSS) Lab exists to serve the University of Wyoming community. We offer training on adaptive computer equipment, connection to the Internet and to the University of Wyoming network, and access to the software available in all other campus labs. Whether you need assistance in using computer programs, or just a quiet study atmosphere the UDSS Lab is here to serve you.

During the year, we host demonstrations and informational presentations. If necessary, we can relocate adaptive equipment to other student labs and classrooms.

The UDSS Lab is a great place to study, read e-mail, or surf the Web. It is even a recognized safe environment for persons with MCS.

If you would like to find out more about the UDSS Lab, ask for the Montgomery Technology Center (MTC) Fact Sheet.
