Priority registration is available to students who may need to plan their classes around physical needs (e.g. accessibility of the location), students who need textbooks in alternative format, or students who need oral or sign language interpreters. Priority registration allows eligible students to use WyoWeb on the first day of scheduled pre-registration.
The Office of the Registrar is notified of students who are eligible for Priority Registration about 3 weeks in advance of registration. A Priority Registration reminder is sent by UDSS to each eligible student prior to registration.
To take advantage of this early registration opportunity, it is important to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor early during the advising period to review your course selections and obtain your PERC numbers. This must be done before you use WyoWeb.
Students who are concerned with classroom accessibility should review their schedule right after registration to double check that classrooms are accessible. If the room is not accessible, or if you are unsure, please make an appointment as soon as possible to meet with your UDSS coordinator so that she can begin to work on relocation of the class, if necessary.
Students who need books in alternative format or sign language interpreters should share a copy of their schedule with their UDSS coordinator as soon as possible after registering so steps can be taken to secure alternative media or to schedule interpreters well in advance of the beginning of the next semester’s courses.
To determine if you qualify for this helpful service, contact your UDSS coordinator.
