Campus Transportation/Paratransit

All of UW's campus shuttle services are lift-equipped and available for use during their operating hours.  For a copy of the brochure, "Accessible Parking and Transportation for Individuals with Disabilities," contact TransPark (Transit and Parking Services) at 766-9800, TTY: 766-4103.

TransPark also provides Paratransit service for UW and Laramie community members with disabilities. The bus service provides door-to-door transportation within a 2-mile radius of the city limits. An application and verification of a temporary or permanent disability must be completed to be considered eligible to use the Paratransit service (see below). The hours of operation of the Paratransit shuttle are 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Applications may be picked up at UDSS or the Transportation and Parking Services office at 432 N. 10th Street.   For more information on the Paratransit and/or other campus shuttle services, go to: http://www.uwyo.edu/tap/.  Or you may contact them at 766-3821 or 766-6686, TTY: 766-4103.  E-mail Paratransit at transpark@uwyo.edu

As Paratransit rides are scheduled on a first come-first serve basis, it is advisable to provide Transportation and Parking Services a copy of your schedule for the up-coming term as soon as you register.  In other words, you should determine your UW-related transportation needs and get those rides reserved with the shuttle service as soon as possible.

Applications are available at the following locations: University Disability Support Services in Room 330 of Knight Hall, Fleet Services on the corner of 14th & Lewis, and at the TransPark Office at the corner of 10th & Lewis.

Completion of the application may be accomplished in one of two ways: 1) your physician may complete and sign the application, or 2) a University Disability Support Service coordinator may complete the application if the applicant is registered for services through UDSS.  It is also important to keep in mind the following guidelines:  Applicants with a permanent disability need to fill out the application only once.  Applicants with a temporary disability must include an expiration date on the application.  Finally, the application must be submitted no later than three weeks after the first scheduled ride.
