  • delivers more than $75 million in scholarships, assistantships, fee remissions, federal grants, work-study, and loan awards
  • counsels students regarding their rights and responsibilities in association with receiving financial aid
  • manages resources available to provide the best package of financial assistance possible to allow students to enroll and take full advantage of the learning environment at UW

 
  • coordinates the academic registration process
  • maintains the official records of student grades
  • handles requests for exceptions to policies, transfer credit, degree audits, enrollment verifications, and FERPA matters
  • processes transcript requests
  • evaluates progress to graduation and maintains CAPP (online degree audit)
  • produces each semester's class schedules, the General Bulletin, and the Summer Bulletin
  • provides user support for the Banner student records system
  • maintains WyoWeb, the web interface to the student records system

 
  • provides quality academic advising to undeclared students and students who are academically reinstated, conditionally admitted, or are guests of the university
  • troubleshoots emergency and critical academic and advising needs
  • provides leadership for training and consultation to academic advisors across campus
  • assists students in defining their career goals (career counseling)
  • assists students in identifying internship and cooperative education opportunities and career-related summer jobs
  • assists students in the job search process, including resume review, practice interviews, and tailoring job search plans
  • identifies employment opportunities for UW students (job developer)
  • provides on-campus and distance interviewing opportunities
  • aids teacher placement
  • operates the University Testing Center
