Recipients of the awards are individuals&nbsp;who have demonstrated the following characteristics: attitude towards work; relationships with students, fellow staff, and others; initiative, innovations, and creativeness; quality and quantity of work performed; reliability, responsibility, and dependability; special problems, crises, etc. dealt with; working beyond the &quot;call of duty&quot;; and other supporting evidence. The recipient of the James C. Hurst Each Student--A Person Award is an individual who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to personalize the student experience and who has created a warm and caring environment for UW students.<br /> <br /> Award categories are:<br /> Outstanding Exempt Staff<br /> Outstanding Non-Exempt Staff<br /> Outstanding Contribution by a Student<br /> Outstanding External Contributor<br /> James C.
