The UW Division of Student Affairs is responsible for the quality of the
campus social, cultural, and educational environments; the student
support services that enhance academic programs; and the intellectual
and personal development of students within and beyond the classroom.
Division programs are driven by a commitment to the teaching/learning
process and the comprehensive development of the student. We work to
create and maintain a campus environment underscored by respect for each
student.
The Division of Student Affairs at the University of Wyoming is committed to the success of UW students as:
This vision statement succinctly captures the values we hold true and
highest as professionals working with university students at UW Student
Affairs. In summer 2006, the Student Affairs directors updated this
comprehensive vision statement, a mission statement that further
develops these core values, and measurable goals that specifically
delineate how we will achieve our mission and evaluate our programs and
initiatives.
Together they are a strong expression of our commitment to UW students.
Students come to college not only to prepare for a career and making a
living, but also to learn to live a fully engaged life. It is our
obligation and our pleasure to help students flourish at UW, to validate
their decision to enroll at this university, and to become successful
alumni.
