CLASSES AND LESSONS WILL MEET ON DAYS THAT THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE NOT IN SESSION UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED ON THIS SCHEDULE.


Monday, August 31, Starting at 6:30 – High Plains Sinfonia Auditions
UW Lab School Music Room, High Plains Sinfonia auditions for 6th-9th graders, schedule auditions at registration or call 766-3335.

Friday, September 4, 4:10-5:00 – 2nd Year Students, Welcome back!
Fine Arts Band Room, (Room 132) 2nd Year students’ Welcome Back Party (Bring your instrument!)

Tuesday, September 8, 6:00-6:50 – 3rd Year + students’ Fall Orientation and lesson scheduling, UW Fine Arts Choir Room (Room 128)

Friday, September 11 – 3rd Year + students begin private lessons

Monday, September 14 – UWSP Ensemble, High Plains Sinfonia and Advanced Chamber Ensemble begin 7:00 UW Lab School Music Rooms

Wednesday, September 30 – New Student Registration
New student registration 7:00 p.m., Fine Arts Concert Hall

Friday, October 2 – Beginner classes begin, UW Lab School Music Rooms


Week of November 23

• Monday, November 23 – UWSP Ensemble and High Plains Sinfonia WILL meet.
• Tuesday, November 24 – Beginner, 2nd Year classes and 3+ year private lessons WILL meet
• Wednesday, November 25 – Friday, November 27: Thanksgiving Break

Tuesday, December 1 – Rehearsals for solo recitals, 3+ year students
Dress rehearsals for solo recitals: 3:30, 4:30 or 5:30, Room 302, Fine Arts Bldg.
10 students per hour, sign up for a time with your private teacher.
Solos must be memorized.
THESE REHEARSALS WILL TAKE THE PLACE OF NORMALLY SCHEDULED LESSONS FOR THIS WEEK!

Friday, December 4
Beginner Classes: Rehearsals for December 8 concert: Meet at your regular class time in the UW Education Auditorium (Education Building)
3+ Year students: Solo Recitals, Fine Arts Choir Room (Room 128)
3:30 rehearsal, 4:30 Recital; 6:00 rehearsal, 7:00 Recital.
Sign up for rehearsal and recital time with your private teacher. Each student will perform on one recital.

Saturday December 5
1st and 2nd year students: Private Lesson Day
Individual lessons scheduled for Saturday morning, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, in the Fine Arts Building. Sign up with your teacher for a lesson time and location.
High Plains Sinfonia: Performance at “Happy Holidays Laramie,” UW Art Museum. Details TBA

Monday, December 7, 7:00-8:15 p.m.
UWSP Ensemble, High Plains Sinfonia, Advanced Chamber Ensemble
Dress rehearsal in the UW Education Auditorium

Tuesday, December 8 – Concert for all UW String Project students, Education Auditorium
4:00 Rehearsal for Beginners, 2nd Year and UWSP Ensemble students
5:00 p.m. Concert in the UW Education Auditorium – Beginner and 2nd year classes, UWSP Ensemble, High Plains Sinfonia, and Advanced Chamber Ensemble will perform

UW String Project Spring Fees are due in December!
Please make payment to “UW String Project” at one of the following events:
December 4 3+ year solo recitals
December 8 Concert
