OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The University of Wyoming String Project is a program to teach beginning string students and to develop future string teachers. Children begin studying violin, viola, cello and double bass in the third and fourth grade. After two years of group instruction, String Project students begin weekly private lessons and play in an ensemble. String Project classes and lessons are taught by UW music students under the close supervision of a master teacher. String Project faculty teach up to six hours per week and receive a stipend for their work.

Openings for 3rd and 4th grade beginners on violin, viola and cello

Cost: $55 per semester
includes a $5 registration fee and $5 materials fee
(instrument rental is extra)

Informational Meeting for Students and Parents: Monday October 1, 7:00 pm
UW Education Auditorium

At this meeting we will:
-register students
-measure students for instrument size
-introduce staff and college student- teachers
-discuss schedule and format of the program

Classes will begin Friday October 5
