STEP Up!You can make a difference on our campus! At the University of Wyoming STOP Violence Program we believe that students can have a positive impact on their peers. Therefore, we subscribe to a peer education philosophy in dealing with issues of domestic/relationship violence, sexual assault, and stalking on the University of Wyoming campus. Our approach to peer educaion is that education on these topics should be fun and interactive, so we strive to create enjoyable environments for students to learn about difficult topics. Most of what the peer educators do is through interactive skit performances, presentations, and hands-on workshops. STEP Up! is a University of Wyoming Recognized Student Organization (RSO). Many UW students take the opportunity to get involved in some sort of extracurricular program or activity. We encourage you to experience all that the University of Wyoming has to offer by getting involved with STEP Up!. To become a member of STEP Up! you will be required to participate in a formal training. After the training you will join a dynamic group of peer educators in conducting presentations and workshops. Trainings are held once per semester. Contact Lena Edmunds in the UCC to sign up for our next peer educator training! Events that STEP Up! has been a part of:
