 Available Services
What Services Does STOP Provide?
If you or someone you know is a victim of violence, here are some services available through the STOP Violence Program:
- Counseling: Students who have become victims of violence can receive free, confidential counseling from a member of the STOP Violence Program's staff or other counselors in the University Counseling Center. Services are confidential in that no one will know that you have met with the STOP Advocate.
- Information: At our office students may obtain information for themselves or for friends on a number of topics relating to violence. We can help you get the answers you need to questions about specific incidents or more general topics.
- Advocacy: If a student chooses to file a complaint with the University judicial system, and if the student wants one, the STOP Violence Program will assist the victim to get an advocate (from the SAFE Project) to assist them during this process.
- Referrals: Students can obtain referrals to other campus and community departments and agencies through our office. The University has a number of ways to help victims. Come in to the STOP Violence office and explore your options.
