eCommerce
in America basically started in 1995. 10 years later in 2005,
it had grown into a $1.5 trillion industry and without a doubt it
has grown since then.
eCommerce is a way for you to outreach your Wyoming Small Business to current customers and to new markets. Additionally, a well built web site, designed from a sound eCommerce strategy, can provide positive branding by illustrating that your operation is competent and modern.
The University of Wyoming Small Business Development Center can help you build an eCommerce strategy and an initial web site. After your site is built, we will train you to maintain it so it stays fresh and interesting to your clients.
We have two basic eCommerce offerings for Wyoming small businesses:
This is a basic site with photos of you and/or your products and services. For example, if you own a bakery you would photograph the operation (building either inside or out) and your products or services in action.
If you are a Chiropractor, you may show photos of your patient rooms with a doctor giving a patient an adjustment. And, you may profile each of your staff showing their qualifications in their respective area.
Of course, you would display all of your contact information and other information that you and our eCommerce Specialist determine as significant.
Here is an example of a client we assisted:
Hunter's Furniture & Appliances in Afton
Most of us have been to Amazon.com and many, many other eStores.
We find products, add them to a shopping cart, then pay for
them with a credit card,
PayPal,
or other payments method. We do this for convenience and
pleasure.
Your Wyoming small business can do the same thing!
The Wyoming Small Business Development Center can assist you in developing your own eStore complete with an online product listing and photos, so clients can find what they want, add it (or hopefully them) to a shopping cart, then complete the purchase with a credit card or other payment.
Download our Client Intake Form and follow the instructions.
