Student Comments

It was better than I could have possibly expected. I was given the opportunity to perform a substantial number of procedures. Dr. Noton was patient and communicated well. At the same time, she pushed enough so I would not just sit and watch. She displayed empathy and caring for her patients and co-workers and had a great sense of humor - it would be hard to find a better role model as a person or doctor.
Jonathan Olson, 2004

Location

Saratoga is a small town with the North Platte River, a "Blue Ribbon Trout Stream," running through the middle of it. The North Platte Valley is flanked by the Sierra Mountains to the west and the Snowy Range Mountains to the east, so there are spectacular mountain views. Deer, elk and antelope are abundant with some moose and mountain sheep. There are also two golf courses and a hotspring in the area. The 2000 edition of National Geographic's "Guide to Small Town Escapes" included Saratoga, commenting on the town's charm, authenticity, and tranquility.
