The doctors in Newcastle are born teachers. They understand medicine to a depth that allows them to related topics to my level. From drug pathways/interactions to procedures, they involved me in everything and were constantly teaching.

Location

Newcastle is located in northeastern Wyoming on the edge of the Black Hills Uplift. The region is geologically diverse and includes hard Newcastle sandstone, limestone, and dark-gray Mowery and Belle Fourche shale. Newcastle claims to be the sagebrush capital of the world.

Medical Facilities

Weston County Memorial Hospital, a 28 bed facility, was built in 1986. Services include Acute Medical/Surgical Services, Emergency and Outpatient Services, Outpatient surgery, Obstetrics, various Diagnostic Services and over a dozen Specialty Clinics.

Climate

Newcastle's temperature ranges from highs of 84° in the summer to 25° in winter. The lows go from 58° in summer to 13° in winter. The sun shines about 75% of the days.
