Student Comments

I had the opportunity to work with a doctor who is dedicated to medicine in every aspect. I learned how to practice medicine in a rural area. Dr. Sloan demonstrated the capability to give a lot to his family, his patients, and his community.
Cara Oliver, 2000

I gained a better understanding of what the life of a doctor in a small town entails. How busy his schedule was, how he balanced family, work, and community obligations.
Jason Quinn 1998

Location

Green River, the County Seat of Sweetwater County, was a main town on the Union Pacific Railroad. The Green River, which gives the town its name, flows through the city's center. The town is at the entrance to Flaming Gorge Recreation area, an 81 mile long canyon lake that was created by the building of the Flaming Gorge Dam in the 1960's.
