Douglas

Location

Douglas is located on the North Platte River near Laramie Peak and the Medicine Bow National Forest. Founded as a railroad town when tracks were laid across central-eastern Wyoming, it's been the home of the Wyoming State Fair since 1904. Douglas is also known as the "Jackalope capital of the world".

Medical Facilities

Memorial Hospital of Converse County is a licensed 34-bed hospital offering a comprehensive array of services including family health care, general surgical care, and specialty practices based in MHCC in colon/rectal surgery and orthopaedic surgery.

Climate

At the height of summer, highs average in the 80's. In December and January, highs average in the mid-30's. January lows average in the single digits while July lows are only in the mid-50's.
