University Apartment Advisory Board (UAAB)

Apartment Residents Elected to Advisory Board

The University Apartments Advisory Board (UAAB) is a group of University Apartment residents and others from the University campus who share a common interest in the on-campus community.  Members serve as advisors to the Department of Residence Life & Dining Services; provide input and comment on concerns and issues presented by student government, faculty, staff, and administration.  The UAAB reviews, and provides comments and recommendations upon policy and program development.
Elections were held in October 2006 for representatives to the University Apartments Advisory Board (UAAB).  The following apartment residents are successful candidates as seats on the UAAB: Rene Alber, Spencer Allred, Sayanti Basu, Nichole Bieber, Betty Cardona, and Krishna Pakala.  These newly-elected representatives join current UAAB members Alicia Beedle, Beth Hall, Shafika Khaleel, Chrys Perdue, and Aaron Plant.
We congratulate our newly-elected representatives, and thank all apartment residents on the UAAB.

The UAAB meets once a month, to discuss issues such as the following:

  • Review, discuss, and provide comment on apartment rent and fees.

  • Review quarterly utility reviews of apartment utility consumption and rates.

  • Review and provide comment on apartment publications, periodicals, forms, documents, and apartment website content.

  • Review and provide comment on apartment policies, procedures, and protocols.

  • Respond to requests for input from RLDS leadership on key issues such as budget, facility planning, programming, and staffing.

  • Review apartment publications, websites, manuals, and marketing materials.

  • Share insights, talent, and information with the board.
