Plant Pathology (PLPA) 1000 Level | 2000 Level | 3000 Level | 4000 Level 3220 [1220]. Plant Pathology. 3. Study of plant diseases, their causes, nature and control, as well as pathogen biology. Studies of diseases caused by fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes, mycoplasma-like organisms, higher plants and abiotic factors on field and vegetable crops, as well as on landscape plants. Gives students insight into the impact plant diseases have on humans. (Offered fall semester of odd-numbered years) 4000. Field Plant Pathology. 2. This is a field trip, usually 7 days duration, outside of Wyoming. Primarily emphasizes crops and plants not grown in the state and includes visits to state universities and experiment stations. Exposes students to ongoing research projects. Emphasizes plant diseases, but also studies overall cropping systems and innovative agricultural projects. Prerequisite: PLPA 3220 or consent of instructor. (Normally offered summer session of odd-numbered years) 4900. Current Topics:_____ 1-4 (Max. 6).
