June 12, 2003 -- The University of Wyoming has selected 28 seniors to be members of the 2003-04 President's Senior Class Ambassadors (PSCA), who will be involved in numerous activities to promote and support the university.
President Philip Dubois selected the new members, who were nominated by diverse campus groups and organizations.
"Not only do members benefit from the unique opportunity to participate in a high-profile, select group and network with influential UW donors and alumni; they are engaging their peers in philanthropic efforts to benefit the university, and assisting UW with donor relations activities," says Susan Stroud, UW Foundation director of communications. She says the students will work closely with members of the new UW National Ambassadors program to strengthen relationships between UW and its constituents, including members of the senior class, alumni, and friends.
The PSCA members will help to build a senior class identity and promote and secure a senior class gift to UW, and will promote to junior and senior students the Connect Online Community for UW alumni.
They also will take part in seminars, meetings, and functions with UW boards and donors. After graduation, PSCA alumni are encouraged to become UW National Ambassadors in their respective communities.
