UW College of Arts and Sciences Names Top Graduates |

July 15, 2003 -- The University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences has selected its 20 outstanding graduating students for the 2002-2003 academic year.
A bronze plaque identifying the students will be placed in the lobby of the A&S building and a book in each one's field of study will be purchased for the university libraries in their honor.
"I have had the pleasure of interviewing each of these outstanding students," says Oliver Walter, College of Arts and Science dean. "They are marvelously bright, articulate and very much goal-oriented. We may be the smallest state in terms of population, but we produce students as good as those found in any state."
The students selected are:

CASPER -- Richard J.Cool, physics and mathematics; Andrew G. McLanahan Jr., psychology, zoology and physiology; Elizabeth A. Snyder, international studies and Russian.
ENCAMPMENT -- Kristin Ann Edwards, Russian.
GREEN RIVER -- Scott E. Newton, English and psychology.
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO -- Darcy Thie, chemistry.
LANDER -- Allison Hofbauer, anthropology.
LARAMIE -- Julie M. Gough, communication and public relations; Dana K. Steidtmann, psychology.
LEAD, S.D. -- Olin R. Clyne, history.
LOS ALAMOS, N.M. -- Jennifer R. Zygmunt, botany.
ONAMIA, MINN. -- Kierstin K. Catlett, anthropology and English.
RAPID CITY, S.D. -- Jason K. Herreman, wildlife and fish biology and management.
