UW Gold Finalists Named |

Sept. 30, 2004 -- Top University of Wyoming students have been designated as finalists for UW Gold distinction, which replaces traditional Homecoming royalty.
UW Gold is sponsored by Cardinal Key, the junior class honor society. Students are nominated on the basis of continued success in academic studies, community service, and leadership. The tradition is a way for leading students to be recognized by their peers, the university and the state.
Gold students will participate in numerous Homecoming activities Oct. 8-9. The winners will be announced at the Homecoming Sing Friday, Oct. 8, and will ride in the Homecoming parade and be introduced at halftime of the UW-San Diego State football game on Saturday, Oct. 9.
The UW Gold finalists for 2004:
ANNANDALE, VA. -- Rachell Morley, junior in English, minor in American studies.
CASPER -- Lyndsay Griffin, senior in communication and political science.
CEDARHURST, N.Y. -- Joanne Hendrickson, senior in political science and psychology.
CHEYENNE -- James Hamilton, junior in chemistry.
DENVER -- Stacy Gates, junior in forensic anthropology.
DOUGLAS -- Jayme George, senior in journalism, minor in marketing communications and international studies.
GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. -- Josh Storey, senior in health sciences.
LUCKNOW, INDIA -- Abhishek Pandey, graduate student in mechanical engineering.
NEWCASTLE -- Jennifer Praeuner, senior in accounting.
RIVERTON -- Karyn Thoman, senior in political science and criminal justice.
