| Experimental faculty and graduate students |
The University of Wyoming's Experimental Psychology program provides doctoral training with breadth and depth aimed at expertise in theories, current knowledge, and research paradigms. Students typically choose one primary area of study from the following:
Students may elect a secondary concentration in Emotion or Psychology and Law.
All Experimental Psychology graduate students take core courses in Research Methods, Statistics, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology and Biological Psychology. Students are further guided by specific requirements in their primary area of study and work with their graduate committees to identify additional coursework needed to complete their training.
Mentored by a primary advisor, each student develops a program of research and is encouraged to collaborate with other faculty and students, to present research at professional conferences, and to publish in professional journals.
Doctoral training in the Experimental Psychology program equips graduates for employment in academia, research institutions, government agencies, and a variety of service-related settings.
