Welcome...

...to the Preprofessional Advising Center for the University of Wyoming.
This site is here to help you reach your goals of attending professional school.

What does it mean to be a "Preprofessional" student? Well, that's a good question, it can be confusing. A preprofessional student is one who:

  • Is obtaining, or already has, a bachelor's degree but at the same time working on prerequisite coursework to apply to professional school.
  • Actively researching the professional schools and is acquiring the requirements necessary to apply.
  • Is seeking knowledge about their occupation of choice by shadowing professionals, volunteering, and working in the area.
  • Gets involved in activities of their occupation choice and plays leadership roles in those chosen activities.

A career in health care is among the many preprofessional options at UW.Have you joined the PreProfessional Group on WyoWeb yet?
