The STOP Violence Project’s mission is to prevent domestic/relationship violence, sexual assault and stalking on the campus of the University of Wyoming. As the name of our project suggests, the STOP Violence Project provides some of the support and resources students need to live safely in a campus setting. We strive to teach students how to avoid sexual and relationship violence and stalking. If students should become victims of violence, we also offer services to help them recover, such as free, confidential counseling and an on campus advocate who can help them access services available through other university departments or off campus agencies. We provide information for people who may be victims of domestic/relationship violence, stalking or sexual assault as well as their friends or relatives. We also conduct educational programs on violence for students, faculty and staff. The
