Registration - RN/BSN Completion

Early Registration

  • RN/BSN Courses

Space in the RN/BSN courses is intended for RN/BSN outreach students. Therefore we strongly encourage all RN/BSN Completion students to be advised and registered as soon as possible after registration for classes opens each semester.

    • Registration for Summer and Fall 2008 classes begins March 31, 2008.

“W” Numbers

(excerpt from UW Class Schedule)

  • Your “W” number is your student identification number. It is a randomly assigned 8-digit number preceded by a W.

  • Your “W” number may be found on WyoWeb. Go to the “Student Resources” tab and click any of the links in the “Registration Tools” channel. Your “W” number may be found beneath your name in the upper right corner of the screen.

  • Your “W” number replaces your social security number as your student identification number. You will need it whenever you fill out petitions, cash a check at the Cashier’s Office, speak to Student Financial Aid, and speak to the Registrar’s Office. You do not need to know your “W” number to enroll in classes.

Wyoming Student Medical Insurance

(excerpt from UW Class Schedule)

Each fall and spring semester you are required to make a selection regarding Student Medical Insurance before you can register:

- Log in to WyoWeb. You will have an Insurance Choice hold on your account.
- You must clear that hold prior to registering.
- Click on the STUDENT RESOURCES tab
- Choose the REGISTRATION TOOLS CHANNEL
- Select HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE
- Enter your insurance choice

Registration/Tuition Suggestions

Information found within this section will be updated each semester prior to Advising Week for the upcoming semester. It is highly recommended that you refer back to these pages for updates prior to registering each semester. The university is currently looking at ways to streamline this process.

    • If you are registering for Correspondence Study courses, refer to the following link:

Combination of Outreach Credit/On Campus Courses

If you are registering for a combination of Outreach Credit courses and on campus courses within the same semester, you will need to obtain a PERC number from your advisor. You will register through WyoWeb.

  • Tuition/Fees Information (subject to change)

Please refer to the appropriate schedule booklet (UW Class Schedule or Outreach School) for complete information regarding tuition/fees.

    • Why is there a difference in the tuition/fees between Outreach and On Campus?

Primarily the difference is in the fees required.  These fees allow students access to such areas as Student Health services, athletic events, use of Half-Acre Gym, etc.  Students who are not automatically assessed these fees may have the option to purchase the Optional Student Fees package [further information may be found in the appropriate class schedule booklet].

    • Online UW Courses - click here to go to the Online UW Web Site Tuition/Fees

When registering just for Online UW courses, all students will be assessed their tuition/fees through the Outreach School where there is no tuition differential for resident versus non-resident classifications (all students are assessed resident rates). Online UW courses have an additional $40/credit online fee assessed.

    • On Campus Courses - click here to go to the UW A-Z menu - click on "Tuition and Other Costs"

When registering for on campus courses, all students will be assessed their tuition/fees through Accounts Receivable and will be charged for all courses according to their residency status (resident or non-resident).  Students who are classified with the university as non-resident for tuition purposes will be affected the most by this.

    • Combination of Online UW Courses and On Campus Courses

When registering for both types of courses within the same semester, all students will be assessed their tuition/fees through Accounts Receivable and will be charged for all courses according to their residency status (resident or non-resident).   Students who are classified with the university as non-resident for tuition purposes will be affected the most by this.

    • Traditional Outreach Courses

When registering for traditional outreach courses (N4875 or any prerequisite/elective courses) all students will be assessed their tuition/fees through the Outreach School where there is no tuition differential for resident versus non-resident classifications (all students are assessed resident rates). Traditional outreach courses have an additional $11/credit delivery fee assessed.
