The following are application deadlines. (Postmarks do not meet the application deadline):
All students accepted by the School of Nursing are offered admission contingent upon successful completion of criminal background check. (The UW College of Health Sciences requires a background check through a specific company. That information will be given to the student in their admission letter.) Once completion of the background check has been verified, students are formally admitted to the School of Nursing major component. Students will be alerted through admission letters regarding when and where to obtain the criminal background check; please do not begin process until asked to do so by the School of Nursing.
For students with outstanding prerequisite courses, students are designated as pre-nursing and assigned an advisor. Formal admission may be requested by the student within one year of initial application to the School of Nursing and verification of successful completion of all prerequisite courses.
