For Prospective Students

"Prospective Students" defined:

  • ... those students who are currently pursuing the pre-nursing component for one of the BSN program options
  • ... those students who are exploring coming to UW to pursue the BSN program, MS program, or Certificate program (post-master's)
   
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program

    There are 3 options to the BSN degree:

    • Basic BSN

      This is a basic, entry-level BSN option for the student who wants to become a registered nurse and who is not planning to first pursue an associate degree or diploma in nursing program

    • Accelerated BSN

      An accelerated BSN option for the student with a previous non-nursing baccalaureate degree

    • RN/BSN Completion

      Online BSN option for the registered nurse with an associate degree or diploma in nursing

      • RN/BSN

        RN/BSN Completion offered online throughout United States

      • LEAP
        Leadership Education to Advance Practice

        Enhancing the RN/BSN Completion funded through HRSA promoting public health leadership across settings in Wyoming

  • Master of Science (MS) Program

    For the registered nurse with a bachelor's degree
    If bachelor's degree is not in nursing, note additional requirements under Application Packet/Admission Criteria)

    There are 2 options leading to the MS degree:

    • Nurse Educator (EDUC)
    • Nurse Practitioner
      • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
      • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Adult) (PMHNP)

  • Certificate Programs (Post-Master's)

    When you click into this link, you will go to the same page as the Master of Science Program link, since many of the options on that page apply to the certificate programs as well. For information specifically about the specific certificate programs, click on the links below.
