The School of Nursing, Outreach School, and eCollege have joined forces to provide courses and programs in an online format. Click into any of the following areas to learn more about online opportunities within that program/track.*

Programs and/or tracks offered completely online:

On-Campus Programs with some Online Coursework:

  • BSN Program
    • This program, for students who are not registered nurses, is offered on the main UW campus in Laramie. Some of the prerequisite/elective courses (non-nursing courses) may be offered through the University of Wyoming through Online UW, compressed video, outreach, or correspondence study. Contact our Credentials Analyst/Advisor for this program, Debbie Shoefelt, to see what courses you may be able to take online or through the other outreach options. Once you are officially accepted into the junior/senior years of the nursing major component, the nursing courses are on-campus courses and will require your presence on the Laramie, Wyoming campus.

    • PHCY 4450 - PATHOPHYSIOLOGY - is offered online.

  • Master of Science Nurse Practitioner Options
    • All required MS Nursing Core courses are offered through UW Online
      (NURS 5010, 5025, 5026, 5500) (available nationwide).

    • Effective fall 2000, NURS 5140 is offered through UW Online
      (available nationwide).

    • The remaining Nurse Practitioner courses require your presence on the Laramie, Wyoming campus approximately three times per semester in three-day blocks (Thursday, Friday and Saturday).
