  • Program Description

As a masters prepared Nurse Educator, you will be able to teach in undergraduate nursing education programs and in health care continuing education settings. In this role, you will demonstrate leadership in the implementation and evaluation of educational programs in rural settings. This includes assessment of learning needs of students, planning educational curricula, implementing educational methodologies, and evaluating both student learning and program outcomes. As a graduate, you will meet the Wyoming State Board of Nursing's minimum educational requirements for teaching in State of Wyoming accredited nursing programs. To meet a different state's requirements, check with the State Board of Nursing for that state to see if you need to have additional coursework completed. You may then take that coursework as electives in our program.

New Requirement: Applicants must note in their application packet a specific area of clinical expertise upon which to build the MS in nurse education. This expertise can be demonstrated with either national certification or a portfolio of materials that support this expertise.

All information is subject to change, so please keep in touch with your advisor.
