Caps & Gowns
All degree candidates participating in the College
of Health Sciences (CHS) Commencement ceremony will be attired in the
appropriate academic regalia (cap and gown) according to the degree
being granted. The tassel color is green for all CHS
baccalaureate degree candidates, whereas, the tassel color is gold
for the Master’s of Science degree candidates. Students should come to the Health Sciences Dean's office, Room 235
Health Sciences Center, to arrange for caps and gowns. Orders must be
completed by October 25th, or are subject to a $10 late fee and
availability is not guaranteed. Students who are off-campus and not
able to come to the dean's office should contact the people noted in
the contact section at the top of the page to make arrangements:
- Prices:
Cap, Gown and Tassel: Rental fees are $23 for Bachelors
and $32.50 for Masters. You may also order a commemorative tassel for
an extra $9.00 (brown/gold with insignia).
- Distribution:
TBA.
- Return:
Take your receipt along with gowns to the Bookstore either Saturday,
December 8th, immediately following ceremony, or at the latest on
Monday, December 10th.

Nursing Convocation Ceremony
- The Nursing Convocation ceremony is only held in May. December
graduates are welcome and encouraged to participate in that ceremony
as well.
