Research Focus
My research program addresses
vulnerability, chronicity, rurality, help-seeking, the organization
and delivery of health care services, specifically focused on
accessibility and acceptability of care, and outcomes of care. I have
viewed care of vulnerable, chronically ill persons as a complex
relationship between the person, their family and the health care
system that is influenced by the help-seeking strategies that people
employ and the geographic area in which they live.
