What is SNA?

SNA is a recognized student organization on campus. Membership includes any student at the University of Wyoming that has declared nursing as a major -- Freshman through Seniors. We strongly encourage those of you who haven't joined to do so. This is an excellent way to become actively involved in your education. You are also given the opportunity to become a member of the NSNA which is the National Student Nurses' Association. There are many benefits and opportunities that are made available to you through NSNA. We encourage all who are interested to fill out an application. (Contact one of the officers listed above if you would like to get an application.

What Does it Take?

  • Dues:
    The local dues are $5.00 a semester and may be changed with permission of the membership

  • Meetings:
    Meetings are held once a month, on days and time which are most convenient for the majority. A free lunch is served at every meeting.

Activities

 

Community Projects; Food drives, Fund raisers for local charities, participation in Health Fairs

  • Various members of our organization represents us at important affairs on campus

  • Parties for special occasions and holidays

  • Mentoring program; lower classman are paired with upper classman to serve as their mentors. This gives the under classman someone to connect with and ask any questions and or help in any area that may be troublesome for them

  • National Convention

  • Any other activities that are voted on by the membership
