PERC Information

  • PERC (Personal Electronic Registration Code) is a 6-digit number that you will enter to clear the Advisor Approval hold prior to registering for each term.

  • Your PERC will change every semester.

  • Be advised by your advisor. At conclusion of advising appointment, you will get your new PERC from your advisor.

  • You will need to use your PERC number each time you make registration changes through WyoWeb.

  • If you misplace your PERC, contact your advisor to obtain the number again.

When/How to Register

  • Each student is assigned a designated time for accessing WyoWeb for completing their registration. You can locate your designated registration access date/time through your 'Registration Status' link on WyoWeb.

    • Registration for Summer and Fall 2008 classes begins March 31, 2008.
  • You will need to use your PERC number each time you make registration changes through WyoWeb.

  • At your designated time, log in to WyoWeb...

    • Click on the 'Student Resources" tab and find the 'Registration Tools' channel.

    • Click on 'Health Insurance Coverage' to make a decision regarding Student Medical Insurance - make selection.

    • Click on 'Registration Status' to check for holds and eligibility to register. Any registration holds must be cleared before you can complete any registration activity (the system will not allow you access prior to this).

    • Proceed with your registration by accessing either the 'Look Up Classes' or 'Add or Drop Classes' links.

    • You will be prompted to enter your PERC as you proceed through the registration process.

  • For further assistance, view the 'WyoWeb Online Tutorial' regarding how to enroll in classes via WyoWeb. The resource is currently under construction with the Registrar's Office. They hope to have it available by this advising/registration period. Check their home page - http://www.uwyo.edu/registrar -  for link to the Tutorial.

“W” Numbers

(excerpt from UW Class Schedule)

  • Your “W” number is your student identification number. It is a randomly assigned 8-digit number preceded by a W.

  • Your “W” number may be found on WyoWeb. Go to the “Student Resources” tab and click any of the links in the “Registration Tools” channel. Your “W” number may be found beneath your name in the upper right corner of the screen.

  • Your “W” number replaces your social security number as your student identification number. You will need it whenever you fill out petitions, cash a check at the Cashier’s Office, speak to Student Financial Aid, and speak to the Registrar’s Office. You do not need to know your “W” number to enroll in classes.
