Participants in the Evidence Based Practice for Public health Leaders Summer Institute will:
Learn skills to bridge the gap between practice and research,
The Wyoming Public Health Institute: Evidence Based Practice for Public Health Leaders is a hands-on interactive workshop to develop evidence-based practice skills. Students will have an opportunity to work on a practice problem currently faced in their agency. In addition, at least two follow up sessions (by phone or internet conferencing) will be planned for continued learning.
The WY Summer Institute was made available through grant funding from HRSA and the CDC/WY Bioterrorism Training Program. The Institute is part of a collaborative WY Public Health Workforce Development Project in partnership with the WY Department of Health and the Public Health Workforce Preparedness Center at the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice, University of Washington, Seattle.
Faculty from the Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing, University of Wyoming, serve as project coordinators of the WY Workforce Development Project.
