For Sale:Experiences of Uninsured Persons in Wyoming
I have a very large and rich qualitative dataset from a study involving focus groups with uninsured persons, small employers and key informants around the issues of uninsurance and access to care. There are a variety of opportunities to explore different aspects of the problem of uninsured using secondary analysis. Contact Mary Burman at mburman@uwyo.edu.

Outcomesof Care for Downtown Clinic Clients
The School of Nursing has a close partnership with the Downtown Clinic, a free clinic for persons who are low-income and uninsured. The Clinic is very interested in examining outcomes of care through primarily chart review. There are opportunities for thesis projects looking at outcomes of care for those with diabetes, hypertension, asthma and other conditions that would require some data collection. We also have recently abstracted data on the outcomes of care for clients receiving antidepressant and/or anxiolytic therapy at the Clinic. It is a rich dataset with some interesting opportunities for secondary analysis. Contact Mary Burman at mburman@uwyo.edu.

Helping Families Succeed: Marketing a Clinical Prevention Service
This could be a non-thesis project that might involve developing materials and translating a new prevention service to consumers and customers such as Great West and Blue Cross. I am involved in the development and implementation of this new service. The student's literature search might focus on distinguishing the difference between disease focused services and family health promotion. The student would have access to my literature and I would work with the student in this area. Contact Pamela Clarke at pclarke@uwyo.edu.
