Dr. Lindsey Bird Reynolds is an avid teacher and performer throughout Wyoming and the Front Range of Colorado.  She is the Oboe Instructor at the University of Wyoming and the 2nd Oboe and English horn of the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra.  Lindsey has performed as principal oboe with the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Collins Symphony, and the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, as well as substitute oboe and English horn with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra.  In addition, she has served as solo oboe and English horn for the Opera in the Ozarks, as well as section oboe for the American Wind Symphony Orchestra.

Dr. Bird Reynolds completed the Doctor of Arts program at the University of Northern Colorado.  At UNC, she studied with Peter Cooper, principal oboe of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.  Lindsey completed her Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance at Yale University, studying under Richard Killmer.  Prior to that, she received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Oboe Performance from Miami University of Ohio, studying under Andrea Ridilla. 

As a soloist, Dr. Bird Reynolds has appeared with the University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, performing Quiet City by Aaron Copland with Dr. Thomas Pfotenhauer.  While pursuing her Master of Music degree, Lindsey was invited to perform the Mozart Oboe Concerto with the Toledo Symphony.  In addition she won the Rocky Mountain Concerto Competition at UNC, and subsequently performed Rimsky Korsakov’s Variations on a Theme of Glinka.
