A federal internship program for MPA students across the
country, an excellent opportunity for anyone considering
federal employment. MPA students who will complete their
coursework this spring or summer (2009) are eligible to
apply. This internship is a 2 year program in which chosen MPA’s work for the federal government in the agency of their
choice (based on the application process etc.). In
addition, interns begin their work at a GS-9 pay level
(about $36,000) and are eligible for permanent federal
employment at the end of their internship. Students
interested in applying must be nominated by the MPA Director
so please let me know if you are interested. The deadline is
mid-October. This is an extremely competitive but
prestigious opportunity. The UW MPA program has had several
finalists in the last several years and one student was
accepted. She is now in her final year as an intern with the
FBI.
